3 Day Portrait Workshop

Date: 07.11 - 09.11.

Join me for an extensive 3 Day Portrait Workshop with live models to work from.

I will be working along side you demonstrating how I start, work through and finish my Portraits.

There is something always organic happening along the way with every sitter. So we need to be prepared but also loose enough to react to what is going on.

Along the way I will be talking about basics like proportion/drawing, values and making the portrait feel more alive.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and advanced artists.

It is in German/English depending on the individual participant.

Program:

Day 1:

Full Demonstration

Day 2 & 3

Individual Critiques and Help on each painting.

Topics I will be discussing:

• Developing the drawing for a Portrait

• Discussing different ways to start a Portrait

• Bringing the whole together

• Finishing Touches/Background Considerations and more

Schedule:

Friday - Sunday 10:00 - 17:00 working from the Model everyday!

Lunchbreack at 13:00 - 14:00

Materials:

Your Palette of Choice

For Beginners I recommend Black and White

For Brushes I recommend to start from very small sizes up to medium size. (ex. 0 - 6)

3 Canvases with minimum size 30x40cm, Brushes, Palette to mix on, Brushcleaner(No Turpentine!) For example Gamsol or Zest-It
