Portrait Drawing Evening

Join me for a 8 Weeks Basic Portrait Course!

We will be learning how to draw Portraits from the live model.

I will be working along side you demonstrating how to start, work through and finish a Portrait.

We will be talking about the basics like proportion, measuring, building structure and likeness of the sitter.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and advanced artists.

I’m able to teach in German/English depending on the individual participant.

Program:

I will be demoing different topics over the course of 8 weeks and giving individual critiques.

Part One:

  • Simplification, Learning to See, Proportions

Part Two:

  • Building Up Structure and Value

Part Three:

  • Shading, Edges, Finishing Touches

Schedule:

Every Wednesday evening starting at 18:00 - 21:00.

Materials:

For Charcoal Pencils I use: “General’s Charcoal Pencils” 6B or “Conté a Paris” B

For the Paper I use “Newsprint” A2

Kneeded Eraser

Board and Clips to clip your drawing onto!

Alternative:

Coloured Pencils like Faber Kastell

Regular Paper, Size A2
